ASKC ROUND 2 ENTRY UPDATE

21/08/2013

The SKA Website was unavailable due to host server technical issues recently, our apologies for any inconvenience but we’re back online now!

Last week SKA opened entry for ASKC R2 at Phillip Island. Event Manager Pam Pegoraro has received some queries from interested competitors asking – “I didn’t run at Round 1 in Sydney, can I enter for Round 2 at Phillip Island?” and what to do if that is your situation.

CAN I ENTER ROUND 2 IF I DIDN’T RUN THE FIRST ROUND?    YES!                      HOW TO ENTER:

Documents – Download and complete the Shannons Series Entry Form, the Phillip Island Round Entry Confirmation Form, and the SKA Racing Membership Application, ensure all your details are included and post the forms with payment or eft confirmation to the Event Manager.  ENTRY FEES - New entrants for Round 2 are to pay the entry fee plus SKA Race membership ($525 + $50) $575

SKA will accept new competitors for Round 2 subject to the usual terms outlined on the website such as subject to track density numbers, and R1 entrants are assured entry, which basically means - first in best dressed.

ENTRY PAYMENT DELAYED TO SEPTEMBER 6TH IS OK. PLEASE SEND YOUR ENTRIES IN EARLY

To assist competitors with their budgeting, SKA can accept EFT confirmations post-dated for payment not later than September 6th. For those competitors who pay by cheque, SKA can hold the cheques received and bank deposit them at that entry closing date. For our planning it is most important to have your entry documents in early.

RETURN FORM: Along with the Entry Forms at the ‘Events’ website page is a Return Form where competitors can indicate if they will need a hire Dorian Transponder and can reserve places at the SKA Dinner. Returning this form with your entry docs will assist the event management, thank you.

SKA DINNER – On Saturday evening Sept 21st our function will be held at the Ramada Resort Eco Village, 2128 Phillip Island Road, Cowes VIC  3922. A bbq style buffet meal with a selection of main course choices and desserts are arranged, and a licenced bar will operate for drinks. To again provide value the meal price is held to $40 per head, with children under 12’s at $15.  Please indicate your attendance number with guests names on the Return Form provided at website, thank you. We use the evening for a bit of social fun, and to celebrate the achievers in our sport so your attendance is very much appreciated.

GARAGES – Costs are additional to entry fees and will be advised once numbers and superkart pit location are known.

CLOSE OF ENTRY – Shannons Nationals have advised a close of entry date of September 6th 2013 due to program and printing deadlines. Other logistic issues such as garage allocations and event management also require this closing date. Please assist by completing and returning your entry as early as possible

PRIVATE PRACTICE - Friday Practice on September 20th is optional for drivers, and they will need to sign on/pay directly to PIARC (Secretary’s Office). The cost will be $175.

SKA will publish further updates as the event schedules and logistics are finalised with Shannons.

Competitors and Superkart Clubs are asked to pass this information along to members, thank you.
