SUPERKART CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND 1 DATE CHANGE

24/03/2014

SKA has received notification today from Shannons Nationals series director Mr Rob Curkpatrick of the requirement to change the Superkart Championship Phillip Island round date to SEPTEMBER 19th to 21st.

SKA appreciates the extreme level of inconvenience that this date shift for the Nationals causes our competitors, and apologises to all affected parties. This change is totally out of our control and is brought about by the management of Shannons Nationals event scheduling. The email notice received from Rob is included in the link below.

An aspect of this change that Rob has mentioned is that the September Phillip Island Round 2 event may likely include some official sessions on the Friday afternoon to accommodate the expanded schedule of categories. As the Friday at these events is usually an optional practice day, SKA undertakes to advise all competitors if and when it is confirmed that Friday will become part of the official sessions for the event.

Ongoing, SKA appreciates that members will understand the situation as unavoidable, however SKA also undertakes to reformulate planning for a highly successful 2014 superkart championships unabated.  We will keep members informed of relevant aspects and now urge competitors to adjust their planning to focus on ASKC Round 1 at Sydney Motorsport Park on July 11th to 13th.

Regards SKA Team
