SUPERKART NATIONALS R1 SYDNEY MOTORSPORT PARK 27th to 29th MAY WRAP

02/06/2016

The SKA Nationals Round 1 has been a hard fought tight contest all through the classes. It was good to see visiting spectators from the local club, who remarked on the tight racing in classes. It seemed at times that the mice got into the machinery a bit, which caused plenty of work and parts consumption, but they backed up for more battle each race.

The usual strong atmosphere of camaraderie and social interaction was a feature, with a great competitive focus blended with plenty of that help-your-mate vibe that superkarting is renowned for.

Superkarts Australia is proud to have promoted a successful three day race weekend that so many competitors and teams have enjoyed. For that our heartfelt gratitude goes to Sydney Motorsport Park management and the ARDC for their assistance and welcoming attitudes, along with another fine effort from the SKA event management team of Pam Pegoraro, Barbara Hepworth, DSO Graeme Williams, SKA Scrutineers Clint Brown and Phil Eggins, and their assistants over the days.

Superkarts Australia also appreciates the wonderful support of our network of Series Sponsors –

Rockpress Metal Fabrications and Engineering, Coach Design Bus and Coach Manufacturers, L&J Designs Joinery, Denture Professionals, Giova Design Jewellery, and Middletons Printing.

The SKA Nationals Round One Results/Final Pointscore pretty much tells the story of the weekend and is posted at this link http://www.superkartsaustralia.org/uploads/Round%201_SMSP_2016%20SKA%20Points%20Score.pdf   and can be found at the Events page as well.

So folks, take Round 1 as a workout for R2 and R3, have a short rest and get the racers and machines once again tested and fully fit for SKA NATIONALS ROUND 2 with Shannons Nationals at Phillip Island in September!
