The SKA Nationals Round 2 started under gloomy conditions, but as usual the social atmosphere as the teams re-unite for racing lightened the atmosphere. So it was for the weekend the weather improved and the hard running and close racing in classes came to the fore.

Congratulations to class winners Russ Jamieson in 250 International, Jordie Ford in 250National, and Adam Stewart in 125 National, and to all the place getters as well.  The Results are posted at the SKA website Events page, so you can see the current situation in classes, with only the last Round at Sydney in November left to run.

Superkarts Australia is once again pleased to have promoted a successful three day race weekend enjoyed by competitors and teams. Our sincere appreciation goes to the SKA Event Management team of Pam Pegoraro and DSO Barbara Hepworth, with Dave Hepworth, Menno and Brendan Luneman, and their many assistants over the days.

We also enjoyed great catering courtesy of SKA and Top Torque’s Greg Bass who put on BBQ’s Saturday and Sunday with Barry Bass and Joan serving up delicious tucker, thanks heaps to all!

Phillip Island Circuit Management have assisted where possible and racers always appreciate the efforts of the Marshalls that keep us safe.

Superkarts Australia also appreciates the continuing support of our network of Series Sponsors –

Rockpress Metal Fabrications and Engineering, Coach Design Bus and Coach Manufacturers, L&J Designs Joinery, Denture Professionals, Giova Design Jewellery, and Middletons Printing.

The first two rounds of this year’s SKA Nats have been hard and tough competitions to find the real champion superkart teams in Australia. The pointscore shows that all 2016 number 1’s are still up for grabs, and the podium places are still mighty close too!  So the final at Round 3 promises an exciting test of driver and machine to decide the 2016 Superkart Champions.

Have a short rest and re-charge for the grand finale SKA NATIONALS ROUND 3 with Shannons Nationals at Sydney Motorsport Park at Eastern Creek on November 11-13th !

Regards SKA Team
