SUPERKART NATIONALS Rnd 1 SYDNEY MARCH 3-5TH WRAP UP

SKA Nationals Round 1 started under full wet weather conditions, which did not abate for more than a brief hour or two. Out of nine track sessions, only two dry sessions were had by Nationals warriors over the weekend.  SKA Nationals are known for a test of men and machines but this was something else!  But dampen the spirits it did not, and as always the camaraderie and hard running close racing in classes was the order.

It is testament to this group of superkarters that in such poor racing conditions that even with their focus on racing and competition, their race driving discipline and attitudes to safe outcomes was exemplary and commented on by other categories and officials.

Congratulations to the rain-master Class Winners Ilya Harpas in 250 International, John Pellicano in 250National, and Mark Robin in 125National, and to all the place getters as well.  The Results and points are posted at the SKA website Events page, so you can see the current situation in classes, with our final Round at Qld Raceway in September left to run.  So its time to run some club events and tune for the finale!

Superkarts Australia is once again pleased to have promoted a successful and safe, albeit very damp three day race weekend enjoyed by competitors and teams.
