The September SKA Newsletter
09/09/2025
SKA Newsletter 8 th Sept 2025
There are only days left to get your entries in and they close on the 14 th September.
Also take note that this event will be run under the current MA Superkarting Tech
Regs. The main point to take note of is that the 125gb class minimum weight will be
190kg.
We have only had a couple of responses to pit garage allocations so far so I guess
everybody is happy enough to be placed anywhere. As mentioned, we will try and
keep each state together and garages will have to be shared. 2 karts per garage
depending on numbers. We will draft up a pit bay layout by the end of the week after entries close and get it out to you with both Face Book and e mail.
SKA are presenting two extra trophies this year. One will be the hard luck award and
that could include a fair few of us. The other is best presented Superkart / team. The
presentation level of both team pit crew and karts has risen to a spectacular level in
recent years and that can only be a plus for the promotion of our sport. So put your
best race shirt on and detail up those karts so we can show the public that we do
take pride in what we do.
Once you get all prettied up post a photo to the SKA Facebook page with your team details. There will be a $100 prize thanks to Action Sports Photography Australia for the most "liked" team photo posted to the SKA during the Championship. You must get a minimum of 5 likes to be eligible.
As mentioned in the last newsletter, there will be a $100 cash prize given to pole
position in each class. This was a fantastic offer from our sponsor Squadra Corse
Racegear but they said that the class must consist of at least 5 karts per class.
Dunlop Kart Sport who is one of our major sponsors has asked the drivers if they
want tyres to be available at the track. Most teams would already have their tyres,
but SKA will organise with DKS to have both 5”and 6”tyres available if pre-ordered.
Dunlop now have their new DHH 5” tyre available which is sensational for classes
that can use them under current MA SK Tech regs. The other tyres available will be the DEM DAU 6’’. If there is to be a special tyre spec / order please let us know so we can organise that.
